Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas met and trained as cooks at the elBulli restaurant. After several years at the helm of Compartir Cadaqués restaurant, in 2014 they fulfilled their dream of creating Disfrutar, an avant-garde cuisine restaurant in the heart of Barcelona.

Disfrutar restaurant occupies a 1940s building located on Villarroel street, in Barcelona's Eixample district. Designed by El Equipo Creativo, its 365m² surface was transformed into a diaphanous, luminous and pleasant space.

LIVING TABLE EXPERIENCE

A proposal born from the initiative of Merche Alcalá, designer and owner of the MA design studio in Barcelona. With whom Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas have worked to offer a totally different and innovative experience.

The Table M#01 is located in the R&D kitchen of the restaurant, on the -1 floor of the premises.

This project gives life to the table and makes it part of the gastronomic experience, which can only be carried out in this space.

Concept and gastronomy

Creative emotion as the fundamental argument of gastronomy is Disfrutar's DNA.

To be able to transfer it in a personalized way, everywhere and adapting to each event and each person, Disfrutar has managed, through its creative potential applied specifically from its culinary line, not only to faithfully translate its elaborations into this new format, but to amplify the essential flavors, the "wow" textures, the fun in every bite, the surprise in every presentation.
